About Me
Who I am
My name is Shasqil, I'm born and raised in Singapore.
I graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelors in Industrial Systems Engineering & Management in 2021, and have been working for my dad since then in a small engineering firm.
I like to do music, I play the guitar and the bass
I like to read and stay fit by going to the gym and going for runs
What I Do For Work
My exposure to the running of a small business has forced me to learn the various aspects of running a business.
This ranges from sales, marketing, project management, to HR, IT, people management, operations and many other areas of work.
Day to day I mainly juggle between project management, sales, operations management and overall business planning (strategic direction, etc.)
Wearing many hats in the company has pushed me to my boundaries of time management, planning, and managing myself.
Outside of Work
I large part of my attention goes to music related endeavors.
I have a band with my friends called The Kews, where I play bass, and help out with the marketing and content creation for promotion.
I also have a YouTube account where I post music covers that I do on my own, or with my friends.
This allows me to practice another of my interests, video editing and making videos.
Other than that, I place a high priority on fitness and personal health, going to the gym at least 3 times a week and running 7km at least once a week.
Why This Website?
On top of everything that I do, I enjoy learning new things and listening to different perspectives.
I believe that I've picked up some useful tips and lessons, implementing them in my life to varying degrees of success.
I wanted to have a place to document my learnings and share them to people in an unbounded manner.
Having this website allows me to do that, explore my curiosity and practice my writing and storytelling.
